Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Adam Burke is a Professor of Health Education and Director of the Institute for Holistic Health Studies at San Francisco State University. He holds advanced degrees in social psychology and health education from the University of California, and is a licensed acupuncturist. Research activities include curricular innovation in the area of holistic health education, cross-cultural studies of traditional medicine, and inquiries into meditation and imagery. In 2010 Dr. Burke was appointed by, Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, to a three-year term as an Advisory Council member of the NIH’s National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM).
