Dr. Degutis, who is a native of Chicago, Illinois, received a Bachelor of Science degree from DePaul University, a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Public Health from Yale University. She was a 1996-97 Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow, working in the office of Senator Paul Wellstone (D-MN).
Dr. Degutis’ research interests have centered on issues related to alcohol and injury, with a particular focus on interventions and policy issues, and she is the author of numerous publications. Her current research activities focus on both clinical and policy interventions related to injury and substance abuse.
