This session focused on identifying barriers to health care providers who are engaging in community advocacy and policy change. It takes a holistic approach to health and service provision.
Session Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be better able to Explain three strategies used to mobilize and activate 18 35 year olds in health care reform. Identify the specific barriers among low-income community residents in accessing nontraditional care (e.g., dental, vision, and mental health services) and health insurance coverage. List three specific categories of vision health that are impacted by socio-economic disparity.
