Public health nursing leadership is an essential partner in health improvement, seeking to identify the most effective means of assuring health for all. Looking through the lens of social justice, this session will explore the transformation of the profession and its quest to eliminate health disparities, promote quality improvement through electronic data reporting and management and assure that developing professional nurses are competent in policy development.
Session Objectives: 1.Examine the transformation of public health nursing through a social justice lens.
2.Explore selected public health nursing efforts to eliminate health disparities, promote quality improvement and enhance policy competence through curricular innovation.
