This is an invited panel sponsored by APHA’s Science Board reflecting the conference theme of Social Justice & Public Health. Our panelists will discuss a range of topics pertinent to this theme, including health disparities, research in minority communities, and the role of science and scientific research in advancing social justice and public health.
Session Objectives: 1. Describe the role of science in advancing social justice 2. Examine the factors influencing health disparities 3. Analyze opportunities and challenges to address social justice through public health research
