Monday, November 8, 2010: 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Oral
This session on women’s health across the lifespan focuses on a variety of topics related to women’s health, with a focus on topics that are less talked about, but nonetheless important to the health, well-being, and quality of life of women across the lifespan. Addressing under-reported and under-discussed areas of women’s health is vital to improving health of all women and in particular underserved or marginalized women. It is an issue of social justice and gender equality.
Session Objectives: 1. List two under-discussed women’s health topics. 2. Describe recent research to improve the health of underserved populations. 3. Discuss two health concerns affecting the quality of life for women.
