Certification in Public Health is here – More than 1,000 professionals have become Certified in Public Health (CPH). This panel of CPH professionals will share their experiences with the CPH process thus far. You will hear about their motivation, preparation, recognition, how CPH brought added credibility among their colleagues, and life after earning the CPH (including maintaining the CPH through CPH continuing education). This session will provide information on: Overview of the Certified in Public Health process; Motivations for Mastery; Preparing for the CPH Exam; and Staying Certified in Public Health, Maintenance of Certification (MOC). The National Board of Public Health Examiners is preparing its fourth annual examination for CPH status. Learners are encouraged to ask questions of the panel, all CPH professionals.
Session Objectives: Describe the Certified in Public Health (CPH) process. List examples of the institutionalization of the CPH credential. Describe the maintenance of certification requirements for CPH professionals.
