Submission Deadline: Wednesday, February 9, 2011

The Caucus invites abstracts on research, epidemiology, policy, legislation, advocacy, and service delivery issues pertaining to homelessness and homeless populations.

The theme for the 2011 APHA conference is "Healthy Communities Promote Healthy Minds and Bodies." Topics of interest for this year's program include, but are not limited to:
  • Design and evaluation of interventions for specific populations
  • Evidenced based practices for homelessness services
  • International responses to homelessness
  • Issues related to the design, implementation, and effectiveness of health services for homeless populations
  • Novel methods, priorities, or challenges in conducting research with homeless populations
  • State and local planning efforts to end homelessness or address barriers to care
Abstracts with student researchers as senior authors are encouraged. The Caucus on Homelessness will present an award for the best student abstract submitted. The abstract will be selected by a committee. Please place "S/A" at the end of the title so that it will be identified as an abstract to be considered for this award. For additional information contact the program chair.
