This presentation will describe the types of data collected by the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). Data collection methods, analytic considerations, and methods of data access will be discussed. Examples of how the NHIS data are used to inform public health programs and policy will be provided. Participants will also learn ways of applying the data to their individual research interests.
