This feature length documentary film seeks to address a growing proportion of parents who question the value and safety of vaccinating their children. Despite a preponderance of scientific evidence supporting vaccine safety and exonerating vaccines from any link to autism, fears and myths remain widespread--particularly among affluent, well-educated parents who are more likely to question their child's pediatrician and "do their own research" on the Internet, where misinformation abounds. This film seeks to examine and debunk fears which "seem" like cultural norms by introducing parents who have had first-hand experiences with vaccine-preventable diseases. Also featured are experts in the field who can empathize with parents and be unafraid to criticize the historically paternalistic attitude of physicians and public health officials' messaging on immunizations. The film is intended to engage and entertain the audience and to be a thought-provoking experience for parents who are hesitant, confused, or concerned about vaccines.
