This presentation identifies the five domains of the Shaping Policy for Health™ competencies and how they align with the core public health functions. The participants will be able to describe the health policy and environmental change content focus of the workshop.

Learning Areas:
Advocacy for health and health education
Assessment of individual and community needs for health education
Communication and informatics
Conduct evaluation related to programs, research, and other areas of practice
Public health or related public policy
Systems thinking models (conceptual and theoretical models), applications related to public health

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the health policy and environmental change content focus of the workshop. 2. Identify the five domains of competencies and how they align with core public health functions.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am a contract trainer for DHPE's Shaping Policy for Health curriculum, having presented the training workshops in many locations around the country for different audiences. I work directly with DHPE staff to plan, prepare and deliver the curriculum.
