This presentation will highlight the newly-created public health systems and services (PHSSR) research agenda; PHSSR datasets and resources; and effective communication, dissemination, and implementation of research results. This presentation will also discuss policy research implications related to the "natural experiments" that recent events created - events such as the economic downtown, mid-term elections, and evolution of the Affordable Care Act (particularly the prevention/public health provisions).

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: As Project Directorof the newly-created national coordinating center for public health services and systems (PHSSR) I can speak to the research agenda; PHSSR datasets and resources; and effective communication, dissemination, and implementation of research results. I have twenty-five years experience in the Organizational Development and Human Resource field including positions in consulting, high tech, health, and utility industries. I have developed many courses and seminars including total quality management and quality planning programs for large manufacturing corporations. My research interests include public health systems and services, the built environment, and health disparities.
