Quality improvement and emerging technologies have the potential to drive the type of organizational change required to transform the addiction treatment field. The purpose of this session is to present results from the NIATx 200 initiative, which is the largest randomized trial of organizational change ever conducted in addiction treatment and among the largest ever conducted in healthcare. Participating agencies (n=201) in five states (MA, MI, NY, OR, and WA) were randomized to one of four interventions—learning sessions, interest circle calls, coaching, and a combination of all three services. The study had the primary goal of identifying and understanding the active ingredients of a successful quality improvement methodology (named NIATx) by examining which of the four study interventions is the most effective in reducing waiting time from first contact to first treatment, improving continuation through the fourth treatment, and increasing program admissions. This session will frame the research study; address the intervention effects on primary outcomes; explore characteristics related to organizations' willingness to enroll in and influence study participation; and examine how organizational variables moderate improvement in the primary outcomes across the study interventions. The presentation order is Abstract #: 246758/Length: 25 Minutes; Abstract #: 246867/Length: 25 Minutes; Abstract #: 246915/Length: 20 Minutes and Abstract #: 246946/Length: 20 Minutes
