This presentation will provide an overview of the approach to community health care in Cuba. The Cuban system relies on community-based primary care with integration of public health in medical practice. Specific programs such as maternity services and elder care will be highlighted. The emphasis on internationalism as evidenced in medical education and international service is an underlying theme.
