This presentation will describe how the Maryland Dental Action Coalition was created, staffed, established a constitution and by-laws, vision, etc and began to work. In a relatively short period of time, the MDAC has been responsible for developing the Maryland State Oral Health Plan, obtained grants and continues to grow and make progress. Further, it was the major organizer for the first ever Maryland Oral Health Summit held in October 2011.
