Prevention Institute will share findings about the linkages between violence and healthy eating and activity, as well as emerging strategies that can both improve healthy eating and active living environments and prevent violence as outlined in the Addressing the Intersection report.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I work in the areas of healthy eating and activity and health equity, and I support projects focused on the intersections of violence and chronic disease, providing technical assistance for the national Convergence Partnership pilot project focused on preventing violence and promoting healthy eating and activity. Through this project, I have consulted with mutlifield teams who are working on cross-cutting strategies such as creating safe spaces for activity, promoting community development and employment, and fostering social cohesion. I work with public health departments, community organizations, and foundations to provide training, technical assistance, and consultation for developing strategies to promote healthier, safer, and more equitable communities.
