The Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) is committed to improving access to quality health care and services for safety net populations. The expansion of oral health services and its integration into primary care settings is a priority in meeting this commitment. In April and July of this year, the IOM released two significant oral health reports: “Advancing Oral Health in America” and “Improving Access to Oral Health Care for Vulnerable and Underserved Populations.” This presentation will discuss the IOM recommendations, the HRSA oral health programs that are addressing these recommendations and opportunities through which HRSA is advancing oral health under the Affordable Care Act.
