253625 Child Health & Child Health Services ResearchMonday, October 31, 2011: 4:30 PM
This talk will address her work on child health and CHSR. She was integral to advancing our conceptualization and measurement of child health. Some of this work led to the creation of one of the most widely used risk adjustment systems in the world (her work on childhood utilization and morbidity), and other parts stimulated a broader, person-oriented view of the child that culminated in the 2004 IOM report on child health. Many child health services researchers claim Barbara as one of the founders of our field. And all of her work was dedicated to and converged on reducing health inequities.
