This presentation focuses on Dr. Starfield's research contribution on the impact of primary care on population health and health equity. Specifically, I will highlight our collaborative work between 1997-2011 in the Johns Hopkins Primary Care Policy Center that relate to this aspect of the research. Through these studies, it is clear that Dr. Starfield has made significant contributions in advancing primary care by demonstrating the effectiveness of primary care not only in improving health but reducing disparities.
