The twelve cities initiative has initiated a project to develop the sister cities concept, to support development of municipal programs in the United States. AIDS 2012 is expected to convene more than 20,000 delegates from nearly 200 countries, including more than 2,000 journalists.
The twelve cities initiative will be attending this roundtable to encourage participation in AIDS 2012 and help organize a session at that meeting to develop the sister cities approach to combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
