Developing a well prepared MCH Workforce in the future requires a key understanding of the alignment of workforce development and health department priorities. With a specific focus on the needs of urban local health departments including but not limited to succession planning and professional development. This presentation will review how CityMatCH is addressing these priorities. One key component is the CityLeaders Program for emerging MCH leaders. This training program serves as an introduction to the core MCH Leadership Competencies. A second initiative that will be discussed is the use of online distance-learning modules for workforce development
