This presentation describes how full implementation of vaccines recommendations in the Guide to Community Preventive Services has improved program effectiveness in reducing vaccine-preventable diseases.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe vaccine recommendations from the Community Guide currently used in the District of Columbia. 2. Provide examples of how these recommendations have improved program effectiveness in achieving high childhood vaccination rates and in reducing vaccine-preventable diseases in the District of Columbia.
