Early lessons learned from non-profit and government efforts on international climate change adaptation efforts. Will include a review of recent US government activities and reflections on opportunities to accelerate adaptation efforts.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have spent the last 6 years working climate change adaptation in an international context. My work has included: - Associate Vice President at The Rockefeller Foundation, developed and managed a $70m multi-year program on climate change adaptation in East Africa and South Asia - Deputy Director, Climate Change Adaptation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, developed and led the Inter- Agency Task Force on Climate Change Adaptation. The President approved the Task Force recommendations, covering both domestic and international activities of the US government - Member of the Federal Advisory Committee on The National Climate Assessment
