I worked twenty years as a pubic health nurses consultant at the Minnesota Department of Health, where I focused on redefining population-based public health practice in an era of health reform. I am board certified in both Public Health and Advanced Public Health Nursing, and am the current Chair of the Quad Council of Public Health Nursing Organizations and the Immediate Past Chair of the Section of Public Health Nursing of the American Public Health Association.
