This interesting session will focus on noteworthy topics in chronic disease epidemiology. Specific talks will cover the following: cross-sectional association between thyroid health and general health indicators; the high risk of pulmonary tuberculosis infection in patients with chronic renal failure; translating the Seattle-King County Healthy Homes asthma intervention to an African-American, Chicago Community; stroke care in Maine; and the role of heavy metals in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
