Wednesday, November 2, 2011: 8:30 AM
Broadband access and HIT adoption can help vulnerable communities improve coordination of care, and thereby improve clinical outcomes. This session seeks to understand how two states accomplished these goals among two separate populations.
Session Objectives: At the end of this session, participants should be able to: 1. assess how HIT can help physicians coordinate charity care for the uninsured; 2. describe how one state uses HIT to increase enrollment in health coverage programs.
