Dr. Catalano will discuss the different mechanisms relating to fetal overgrowth in women with GDM and obesity, the consequences of maternal GDM and obesity on outcomes for the mother and her offspring, and factors which could be modified to minimize excess fetal adiposity. Dr. Catalano’s presentation will be followed by a reception in his honor jointly sponsored by March of Dimes and APHA’s Food & Nutrition and Maternal & Child Health sections. All are welcome to attend this special event.
