The presenter, a Certified in Public Health (CPH) professional, will describe CPH professionals' experience of the value and recognition received after earning the CPH. The presenter will list the growing ranks of organizations supporting Certified Public Health professionals through fees payment and preference in hiring and compensation. Specific evidence of uptake and incorporation of the CPH credential into the formal educational process by the academic public health community will be provided. Also, the NBPHE's success in bringing recognition to the CPH in the US uniformed services will be highlighted.

Employing CPH professionals assures agencies of a better-prepared workforce and makes a statement of our value for quality and accountability. Hiring CPH professionals is an indicator of commitment to a robust public health infrastructure.
