To support the implementation of the School Health Guidelines to Promote Healthy Eating and Physical Activity, CDC developed tools and resources for school-based physical activity and healthy eating promotion and obesity prevention. This training will familiarize participants with the series of tools and resources, and assist them with implementation of the Guidelines. CDC tools and resources that support implementation of the Guidelines can be found at http://www.cdc.gov/healthyyouth/npao/publications.htm.

Presenting author's disclosure statement:Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I serve as the lead health scientist for the Research Application and Evaluation Team in the School Health Branch within the Division of Population Health. I lead a team of health scientists who are focused school-based physical activity and physical education, healthy eating, and childhood obesity prevention. I serve as the lead for youth physical activity and physical education by informing policies and practices for improving school-based physical activity through research synthesis and translation.
