270352 CalMatrix: Streamlining large scale contract management using innovative web portal technologyTuesday, October 30, 2012
The California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) administers three statewide initiatives funded by the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) aimed at preventing suicide, improving student mental health, and reducing stigma and discrimination for mental health consumers. CalMHSA serves as a hub for its 45 members, who represent over 90% of California's population, and increases cost efficiency by centralizing contract management tasks and coordinating resource sharing. CalMHSA utilizes innovative customer relationship management technology to track contract deliverables, generate fiscal reports, and share information among contractors. A unique web portal, CalMatrix, was created specifically for use by CalMHSA's contractors and includes a financial ledger, resource library, contact directory, and shared calendar to improve communication and streamline collaboration efforts. CalMatrix interfaces with Microsoft Outlook which enables CalMHSA staff to easily track and manage all aspects of the statewide contracts, and ensures CalMHSA's efficiency in administering these historic initiatives.
