The OHS Special Scientific Session is developed to honor significant contributions to the field of occupational health and safety. The lecture will cover major developments in the science of occupational health and safety, on the important contributions from a luminary of science, or on significant innovative cutting edge scientific contributions, in one or more of following areas: Occupational Medicine/Nursing; Occupational Epidemiology; Ergonomics; Industrial Hygiene/Exposure Assessment; Worker Training/ Education; Occupational Health Policy; Occupational/Industrial Safety; Cleaner Production/Pollution Prevention; Occupational/Industrial Psychology; Work Organization; or Other Occupational Safety and Health (e.g. economics, sociology). The two Special Session awardees will make scientific presentations from peer- reviewed papers and/or reports published between 2010 and 2011. The criterion for selection is based on significant contributions or innovative cutting edge developments in Occupational Health and Safety, and Public Health.
