This presentation will provide an assessment of the results of OSHA's two-year National Emphasis Program on Recordkeeping. It will also report on OSHA actions and activities regarding the underreporting of workplace injuries and illnesses, including the March 12, 2012 OSHA Memorandum titled "Employer Safety Incentive and Disincentive Policies and Practices."

At the end of this session, the participant will be able to (1) describe how employers were selected for the special OSHA emphasis program; (2) list what procedures where used by compliance officers to assess compliance with OSHA recordkeeping rules; and (3) explain two results from the emphasis program to-date.
