The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (OSTLTS) has been a key partner in supporting the recent national work towards public health department accreditation. The panelist will provide an overview of public health department accreditation and discuss CDC's role in supporting the new Public Health Accreditation Board and identifying incentives for accreditation. The panelist also will discuss how accreditation readiness is being advanced through several initiatives via national partners and through the CDC OSTLTS National Public Health Improvement Initiative cooperative agreement. Key outcomes from funded sites will be shared and resources available to all health departments will be highlighted.
