This abstract will place into an appropriate historical, economic and political context the past year's worth of health reform activism including the Affordable Care Act and it's encounter with the Supreme Court, the Occupy movement, state movements for more comprehensive reform and resistance to the ACA and more comprehensive reform efforts.
