: 11:00 AM - 11:15 AM
The U.S. has a highly diverse array of public health agencies operating at the national, state, and local levels. MIDAS researchers can model selective variations in agencies' legal authorities and constraints, their economic and personnel resources, and their operational capabilities—studying how these variations can affect efforts to prevent and contain infectious disease outbreaks. Insights from this research can guide policy makers and practitioners in planning, surveillance, and resource allocation decisions.
