273227 Silence Speaks: Women's Human Rights Stories From Nepal and Republic of CongoMonday, October 29, 2012
: 3:46 PM - 3:56 PM
Silence Speaks is an international digital storytelling initiative offering a safe, supportive environment for telling stories that all too often remain unspoken. Through a unique blend of oral history, participatory video production, and group process, workshop participants create short “digital stories” of courage and healing that can be shared in a variety of training, community mobilization, and policy advocacy venues.
In this session, we will share stories by women survivors of gender-based violence in Nepal and women survivors of civil war in Republic of Congo.
