274473 Overview of New Interventions in Delivery and Postpartum CareWednesday, October 31, 2012
: 10:30 AM - 10:45 AM
Provide verview of some of the issues in women's reproductive health and a discussion of the barriers to successful interventions. The discussion will focus on the human factors which limit new technologies and engage participants in the session in thinking about creative approaches to get interventions to those who need them. This discussion will use examples from the presentations which represent a range of delivery and post-partum interventions. Many are very cost effective but not always successful because they are not available, health providers are not trained to use them, or the population doesn't accept them.
