This presentation will introduce the Eat Healthy · Be Active Community Workshops to the audience and provide background information on the development of the workshops by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Also discussed will be the health literacy principles utilized in creation of the workshops to effectively communicate messages from the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. Each workshop (total of 6) is accompanied by a handout and short video clip which will be shown for the audience.
