The North Dakota Public Health Association has planned and implemented a “Public Health Day at the Legislature” designed to provide advocates with opportunities to interact with state legislators on a variety of public health issues. Advocacy training held in partnership with other health professional organizations provided advocates with skills necessary to support legislation such as public health funding and maintenance of tobacco prevention funding.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I serve as the Past President and Affiliate Representative to Governing Council for the North Dakota Public Health Association. I was involved in planning and implementing “Public Health Day at the Legislature” and an advocacy training for the Association membership.
