The Public Health Education and Health Promotion (PHEHP) Section celebrates its 90th Anniversary this year. In 1922, the provisional Health Education and Publicity Section was founded to engage health workers in understanding the effectiveness of research methods being used and to learn methods of effectively communicating research results. Today, PHEHP is home to APHA's largest section including the Health Communication Working Group that champions our proud history of developing and enhancing communication strategies in health education.

This session will reflect on the history of the session and the profession. Join present and past leaders and members of the section in exploring a sometimes serious, sometimes humorous look at the past, present, and future of the section, health education, health promotion, and health communication. We, the members of the PHEHP section, enthusiastically embrace our past and present and look forward to a healthy future.
