I am the coordinator of and teacher for the Oakland High School Public Health Academy where I provide direction to help youth become public health champions at the school. I will provide an overview of the various ways that high school students contribute to identification of public health issues in their school community and can be a catalyst for school-system change. She will discuss the way that these efforts can be effectively coordinated with a school-based health center.
