The intention of the discussions of the RT is to better understand the current political and social situation and how this affects the promotion of health equity. It is a place to promote action and create initiatives for future action. The inclusion of sponsors and partners and the relevancy of the discussion are key factors for the sustainability of the RT.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am a subject matter expert in this field and have been examining the pertinent public health issues as Co-Chair of the Institute of Medicine Roundtable on Health Equity for the past 5 years in meetings throughout the nation, and reviewing successful policy and intervention approaches to address health disparities.
