: 2:50 PM - 3:10 PM
This presentation will highlight updates in the NIH grant application process and will be integrated with Dr. Chanetsa's Practicum on the NIH Peer Review process. It will describe the roles that Program staff play in the grant application process and, following review of applications, how Program work with applicants to (1) have the application funded providing it receives a fundable review score; (2) respond to reviewers' comments and resubmit the application if it does not receive a fundable score on the first review but the reviewers' assessments were that the application had merit; (3) determine if constructing an entirely new application is workable depending upon resubmission of the original application's not resulting in a fundable score; related—what determines a new application.
