Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have worked in chronic disease prevention and control for the past 25 years. I lead BANPAC, the Bay Area Nutrition and Physical Activity Collaborative, a six-county chronic disease prevention effort. I also co-teach Med 143 at Stanford University School of Medicine, preparing premed students to provide chronic disease prevention and management clinical counseling. From 1997-2000, I directed diabetes education and management programs as Director of Health Education at Valley Health Plan.
