4351.0 Barriers and Facilitators to Access to Eye Care

National, state, and local data could help identify disparities in eye diseases, vision conditions, and access to eye care that can inform and advance national, state, and local policies. This session discusses vision and eye health disparities, identifies the reasons given for not seeking eye care, and describes supply and demand of eye care services within and outside the country.
Session Objectives: 1) Describe health disparities in accessing eye care services; 2) Demonstrate the need to reduce vision health disparities: 3) Provide evidence for public health policy and decision making
