Business Meeting
The International Human Rights Committee (IHRC) is a 10-member group reporting to the Executive Board of the American Public Health Association (APHA), that focuses on international health and human rights concerns. The mission of the APHA International Human Rights Committee is to provide an impartial platform where scholars and professionals in the field can come together to examine, discuss, and take action on human rights issues that have an impact on public health. Currently the IHRC is seeking to expand the reach of our mandate across the broader membership of APHA. All members are to invited to join the IHRC in this meeting to: * Consider the creation of human rights related committees, working groups or other structures across APHA; and * Cooperate with IHRC in co-sponsoring a human rights related session among annual scientific sessions.
