This session will address how safety net providers will address the gaps in health care reform, with a focus on the immigrant population. Speakers will discuss how safety net institutions and the immigrant patient populations, both documented and undocumented, will be impacted with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
Session Objectives: Describe policy changes that will impact elements of the safety net. Assess the role of the safety net following the expansion of health insurance coverage. Identify approaches to address the delivery of healthcare services for immigrants and their families.
