The purpose of this presentation is to provide an overview of trends analyses by using SEER*Stat and other statistical tools. Participants will determine when changes in trends occur by using Joinpoint to analyze data exported from SEER*Stat.

Learning Objectives:
Explain how Joinpoint software can be used to examine trends in age-adjusted incidence rates. Describe how the SEER*Stat software can be used to calculate the annual percent change in rates.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I've been one of the lead developers of the SEER*Stat software for the full 17 years of it's existence. Over that time I've been using the software for the production of published statistics, and providing technical support and training for SEER*Stat.
