Even if your health department doesn't qualify for Meaningful Use incentives, there are a number of other federal initiatives you need to be aware of that are reshaping Public Health IT. There are many requirements and opportunities for local health departments to improve the quality, coordination and efficiency of health care in their jurisdiction.

Most importantly, these initiatives are driving the need for local health departments to be able to exchange more and more health information electronically. Is your Health IT system ready?
