Using practical, hands-on exercises, students will use SPSS to conduct and interpret analyses involving the one-sample t-test, independent samples t-test, and paired t-test.

Discuss the differences and similarities between hypothesis testing and confidence interval estimation. Describe research questions and type of data that lends itself to either one-sample t-test, independent samples t-test or paired t-test analysis. Design written and oral presentations based on statistical analyses for both public health professionals and educated lay audiences.
